InMarket Hires Mobile Vet Cameron V. Peebles As Its First CMO

Peebles joins inMarket from Airpush, mobileStorm, Enterprise and Nero Software to help continue the beacon platform's momentum in 2017.

Proximity marketing platform inMarket is looking to build on its successes of 2016 — which included campaigns for CPG brands like Energizer and Heineken as well as the claim that its beacon platform was able to influence $14.5 billion in sales over Black Friday — by hiring its first CMO, Cameron V. Peebles.

Peebles previously ran marketing for mobile tech players such as Airpush, mobileStorm, Enterprise, and Nero Software. He also serves on the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Mobile Marketing Center of Excellence, which has been working on standards for the use of geo-data and sensor-based marketing initiatives for the last few years.

A nearly 20-year veteran of the digital space, Peebles brings InMarket considerable experience across integrated marketing, strategy, pipeline optimization, creative design, public relations, and strategic positioning.

InMarket’s beacon programs are currently being used in 100,000 retail locations. At CES, it began the rollout of its inBar mobile engagement program to over 23,000 restaurants and bars, which is viewed as a further expansion of the way it can reach consumers and brands. Overall, seven-year-old inMarket’s comScore-verified reach consists of 50 million monthly active users.
